Children from four to twelve have a club of their own here, and it opens three times a day. The morning session runs from ten until one. The afternoon picks up at two and goes through to half past five. Then comes the third one, at a quarter past nine in the evening, and that is the one parents remember.

Most children’s clubs close before dinner. This one opens again afterwards, from a quarter past nine until half past ten. You stay at the table a little longer. They are somewhere they would rather be anyway.

Four to twelve in the same room. Brothers and sisters are not split up over a year or two, and nobody is sent somewhere else because of their birthday.
