At Barut Hemera, where you will encounter creative experiences, stylish details, and services that redefine luxury, an exceptional holiday in Side awaits you.
Barut Hemera was honored with the Silver Award in the “Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience” category at the ICRT Europe Responsible Tourism Awards 2025, announced during the ceremony held at the Brussels Press Club on October 16, 2025.
Standing out as the only hotel to receive an award in this category, Barut Hemera was recognized for its innovative practices, such as eliminating single-use plastic water bottles, reusing greywater for garden irrigation, generating electricity from solar energy, and reducing food waste by 18%. The jury of ICRT (International Centre for Responsible Tourism) particularly highlighted the fact that all pilot implementations—such as the removal of plastic bottles from operations—were realized entirely through internal resources, presenting a measurable and replicable model that can serve as an example for other facilities.
The European branch of ICRT grants awards across six categories—local supply and shared value creation, waste management, nature-positive tourism, peace, inclusion, climate adaptation, and responsible all-inclusive—to honor leaders in each field.
