Six services a day, and six hundred and fifty eight seats to take them in. Hemera Restaurant opens at seven in the morning and, by way of a night menu, does not really close until seven the next one. Four hundred and forty of those seats are indoors and two hundred and eighteen on the terrace, so the choice is between air conditioning and open air rather than between a table and a queue.
THE BARBECUE AREA
Alongside the buffet there is a barbecue working on the grill. It is the part of the room people queue at, and the reason the dinner service here is not the same proposition as a buffet anywhere else.
THE HOURS NOBODY ELSE KEEPS
A late dinner runs until eleven, and from half past ten at night the night menu takes over and carries through until seven in the morning. Between the two, there is no hour at Hemera when the kitchen is shut.
IF YOU EAT DIFFERENTLY
Vegetarian options are part of the buffet. Vegan and gluten free dishes are prepared on request, so it is worth mentioning at the door on the first evening rather than at the table every night.
