Clarification Text on E-Newsletter for Barut Hemera

This clarification text has been prepared by Barut Turizm ve Eğitim ve Ticaret A.Ş. ("Barut Hemera" or "Hotel") in its capacity as data controller, within the scope of Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures to be Followed in the Fulfillment of the Obligation to Inform.


1. Identity of the Data Controller

In accordance with Law No. 6698, your personal data is processed by Barut Turizm ve Eğitim ve Ticaret A.Ş., whose contact information is provided below, as the data controller.

2. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

The personal data you provide via the "Feedback Form" available at https://www.baruthemera.com/en/mail-register, such as name-surname, e-mail address, and message content, are processed by Barut Hemera for the following purposes:

  • Evaluation of your requests and feedback,
  • Providing a fast and effective response within the scope of ISO 10002:2018 Customer Satisfaction Management System,
  • Execution of quality management processes,
  • Improving service quality,
  • Ensuring and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Processing is carried out based on the legal ground of "legitimate interest of the data controller" as per Article 5/2 of the KVKK.

3. Method and Legal Grounds for Collecting Personal Data

Your personal data is collected via the Hotel’s website or by directly contacting us through other means.
The collected data is processed based on Articles 5/2-ç (legal obligation of the data controller) and 5/2-f (legitimate interest), for the above-stated purposes, and retained only as long as necessary.

4. Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be transferred, for the purposes and legal grounds mentioned above:

  • To our business partners for carrying out business processes and ensuring service quality,
  • To legally authorized public institutions and organizations, In accordance with the provisions of Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, and based on Article 5/2-ç.

5. Rights of the Data Subject

According to Article 11 of the KVKK, individuals whose personal data is processed have the following rights:

 

  • To learn whether personal data is being processed,
  • To request information if personal data has been processed,
  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is being used in accordance with this purpose,
  • To know the third parties to whom personal data has been transferred, domestically or abroad,
  • To request correction if personal data is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
  • To request deletion or destruction of personal data when the reasons requiring processing no longer exist,
  • To request that these actions be notified to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
  • To object to a result arising to the detriment of the individual due to analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems,
  • To claim compensation if personal data is processed unlawfully and damage is suffered.

You may submit your requests regarding these rights to our Company in writing, via notary, or through your registered e-mail address or KEP (registered electronic mail), in accordance with the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures of Application to the Data Controller.


As Barut Hemera, we will respond to your application as soon as possible and no later than thirty (30) days free of charge. However, if the procedure requires an additional cost, a fee may be charged in accordance with the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.
